Monday's
presentation was given by Brooke Mehaffey, Director of the American Red Cross
Muscatine-Louisa Unit, Megan Francis, Health & Safety Coordinator for the
Red Cross, and Mary Odell, Director of Unity Public Health, on the seasonal flu
and H1N1. Our presenters shared
important information on how to be prepared and prevent the spread of germs
during flu season. There are some
valuable tips:
-The
Three C's: Clean-wash your hands for at least 15 seconds with soap and water,
Cover- your sneezes or cough with a tissue or in your elbow, Confine-stay home
when you are sick
-Always
have two weeks of food for you and your family
-Use
hand sanitizer after you shake someone's hand, open a door, etc.
-Get
a seasonal flu vaccine
-Eat
healthy, drink lots of water, and get plenty of rest

$40. This money will be used to
benefit the Clubs efforts. To learn

invited us to attend an open house at the Muscatine History and Industry
Center to thank Melanie Alexander and welcome Richard to the
