Today's Program: Family Resources Update on Shelter Services...
In Case You Missed It
Monday's presentation was given by Shane Williams and Allison Daufeldt on Parents As Teachers. This program focuses on early childhood education for children and their families. This program offers parent education and support to families during pregnancy and until their child enters kindergarten. The Parent Educators focuses on early brain development and the importance of providing positive age appropriate stimulation. By understanding what to expect during each stage of development, parents can begin to aid in their child's learning and ease frustration and questions about their child's behavior and actions. This program is offered at no cost to families. Each family's services and visits are unique to their needs. Currently, this program has three Parent Educators and is serving 36 families. This program is made possible through grant funding and support from Muscatine Regional Empowerment. To learn more about this program please visit www.parentsasteachers.org
