In Case You Missed It
Our presentation on Monday was given by David Fowler, FFA instructor at Muscatine Community School District, on the Ag Learning Center. Building the Ag Learning Center has been a dream of Dave's for a long time. This facility was needed to help educate youth in our community about agriculture and livestock. Together with Muscatine Community College, Muscatine Community School District, and other supporters the "Friends of the FFA" was formed to make this dream a reality. The Ag Learning Center sits on 70 acres and cost approximately $3.5 million to build. Today, the group still has about $700,000 to raise to cover the remaining costs. Dave is very proud of the facility and shared multiple incidents where individuals from Iowa State University and other school districts have come to visit the Ag Learning Center to see the work that has been accomplished to educate our youth. If you are interested in supporting this effort please call the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine.
