Lindsey Phillips: Lindsey was absent last week because her son’s baseball team won the state championship. It was an exciting end to his final year of travel ball. Big Brothers Big Sisters held a successful Car Show fundraiser at Hy-Vee yesterday. Hy-Vee has a new director, Jeremy Guy. You should take the time to stop by and introduce yourself and welcome him to the community.
Rich Dwyer: Rich completed his 11th consecutive RAGBRAI. The first two days were hot, but the end of the ride was beautiful. The route this year went through the Field of Dreams. It was a special experience.

Rotary Exchange Program
We welcomed current Rotarian and former Rotary Youth Exchange student Rick Stammer to share an overview of the Rotary Youth Exchange program and its impact on students around the world. Each year, more than 7,000 students participate in Rotary Youth Exchange across 51 countries, supported by 384 Rotary districts, nearly 22,000 volunteers, and approximately 4,500 Rotary clubs.
Rick highlighted the district's efforts to grow the program by increasing the number of outbound students, host families, host clubs, and volunteers while strengthening outreach through clubs, schools, and social media. Members also learned about the Family-to-Family Exchange, a short-term program that pairs students from two countries for an approximately eight-week exchange, with each family hosting for four weeks.
The presentation concluded by highlighting opportunities for the Rotary Club of Muscatine to become involved, including recruiting host families and volunteers, identifying outbound students, and exploring ways to bring Rotary Youth Exchange opportunities back to the Muscatine community.
