In response to the heartbreaking events of June 1st, a fund has been established to support the families directly affected by this loss.
Charitable donations to the fund will help address immediate and ongoing family needs, including memorial-related expenses, through the coordination of Saints Mary and Mathias Church. Link to donate: https://cfgm.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund.
We will continue to hold these families and all who are grieving in our hearts.
Award Presentation: District Governor Norlan Hinke presented Mike Ruby with the Guardian of Integrity Award. Established in memory of past Rotary District Governor, Paul E. Hellwege, the award recognizes Rotarians who demonstrate exceptional integrity, character, commitment, and service to their club and community. A Rotary member since 1979, Mike has served as Club President, District Governor, Assistant Governor, and in numerous district leadership roles. His dedication to Rotary and its mission has made a lasting impact on countless members and communities throughout the district.

Megan Francis- The community is invited to the Cancer in Iowa: 99 Counties Project presentation on Tuesday, 6/9, from 5:30-6:30 pm, at the Muscatine Community School District Administration Office. This event will be held in person OR on Zoom, and for planning purposes, registration is required for either: LINK: https://tinyurl.com/muscatinecoia. Friday night is the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kick-Off Party from 5:30-7:30 at the new Maynard event space (previously The Overlook Ballroom).

- Service Project: Please join us on Juneteenth for a community service project cleaning our adopted section of Highway 22. Club Workshop: Fundraising and Service Projects
Members participated in a workshop to brainstorm future fundraising and service opportunities for the club. The feedback and ideas generated during the workshop will be reviewed by the Board at its June 15 meeting and shared with the club for future planning and consideration.
