Program: Tim Nelson introduced Janet Sichterman and Mick Durham who gave us an update on Muscatine Foods Inc.,. Janet told us that 3 companies form Muscatine Foods including Precision Foods, Kent Nutrition Group and Grain Processing Corporation. Plants are located in Muscatine, Iowa and Washington, Indiana.

Mick talked about the environmental updates that are being planned and are in the process of implementation. These include updates in Boilers, Wastewater, Biogas Project and Waste Minimization. Project standards are based on the impact to our health. Muscatine Foods will invest $100 Million to retrofit and construct new equipment designed to reduce the current smoke, haze and odor release near the Muscatine Plant. The improvements are aligned with Muscatine Foods ongoing interest in good corporate citizenship.
