Happy News: Tony Joseph was happy! Mike Ruby was proud of the article about Tony Joseph in the Muscatine Journal. Diana Gradert is happy that her granddaughter is on the Homecoming Court at Coe as a Queen Candidate. Deb Ockenfels is happy that she and her daughter did not leave the Hawk Game Saturday early!

Program: District Governor John Ockenfels noted that Mike Ruby is a Paul Harris Society Member for his annual contribution of $1000 to the Rotary Foundation.  He presented Mike with a plaque and pin!! Way to go Mike!!  Highlights of the Governor's visit included telling us about the Rotary  Theme this year of "Light Up Rotary." John asked us to brag up our accomplishments in Rotary to our community. He asked us to do things that make a difference that will create a greater awareness of Rotary!!

It is Gary Wang's goal to grow Rotary's Membership from 1.2 million to 1.3 million this year.  He suggested inviting spouse's to become members.  He told us that the Polio Plus Campaign is narrowing in on Polio.

John invited us to the District Conference in Coralville on April 16-18.  He also reminded us of the upcoming trainings in West Liberty.  Deb Ockenfels then described the Warm Coat Campaign encouraging us to consider participating. The details are all worked out all we need to do is come up with the number of coats we wish to distribute and then fund the project at $20 per coat.
