Guests on January 14, 2013 : East Campus Students:  Felicia Petty, Guadalupe Enriquea, Alejandra Villalpando, Eli Marin, Zach Morse, Chase Ryan, Josh Hanna and Ryan Castle. 3.0 Seniors including Marlon Mejia, Courtney Lake, Max Longtin, other guests ..potential new member Shelley Sides and Holly Roehler guest of Mary Odell.

Rotary Update: Judi Holdorf reminded persons making Rotary contributions through the Community Foundation to pick up their paperwork at the back table.  Mike Ruby reminded us of the District Governor's shoe project.  The goal is 4000 pairs of shoes.  Mike asked us to contribute in the shoe on the table to help the cause and he will shop for us!

Rich Dwyer explained a Sustaining Paul Harris Award to the club and then asked Dave and Craig Utley to come forward.  Dave presented the award to his son Craig.  Craig has given over $1000 to the Rotary Foundation to receive this Rotary award.  Kudos Craig!!

Program: Bill Decker introduced Josh Hanna and Ryan Castle to begin the program on East Campus.  Ryan and Josh then introduced the students who shared personal stories about the importance and relevance of the program to their life and high school experience.  The students have been working also on various projects that make a significant impact on their lives and on the greater Muscatine Community.  They have sponsored a Community Health Expo at which flu shots were given, as well as other partners presence in providing Healthy Messages and Activities to the community. 

Their latest project is the development of a smart phone app that will provide restaurant meal information in regard to price, caloric value and nutrients.  A video was shown demonstrating the potential app which dubbed the app The Right Meal!!  Soon we may all have this app on our phones!!
