Brian Chapman travelled to Fargo, North Dakota last week as he and Judd Anderson were nominated for National Coach of the Year. Kudos to Brian! Rotary Announcements: Keith Porter and Andrea Scott from YPN asked for a volunteer to coordinate a joint golf outing between YPN and Rotary!!

Program for Today: District Governor Terry Geiger and his wife Peg presented an informative overview of the Rotary Year.  They both had removed their shoes and were walking around in their stocking feet to symbolize the project they are going to be working on this year.  Also a reminder of the many in the world who cannot afford shoes!! The goal is to have every Rotarian in District 6000 bring a new pair of shoes to the District Convention...and then shipping the 4000 pairs of shoes to South Africa!!

Rotary's theme this year is Peace through Service! Peace is elusive...it starts at home with health, wealth, service projects etc. Truly happy people have figured out that serving is gratifying.  Terry's goal is also to bring more women into Rotary.
He mentioned that this is Interact Club's 50 th Anniversary year.  He also encouraged us to join a Rotary Fellowship group based on a common interest or hobby.

He also told us that we have been able to rid all countries of Polio with the exception of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria!!
The District Convention will be held on April 11-13 at Honey Creek Resort State Park!
