Happy News/Announcements:  Frank Iliff- On Dec 18th, celebrated 45 year anniversary.  Enjoyed the Holiday Lights at the Lake, congratulations to Committee Chair Jess Wittman. Larry Hetzler- Jan 7th Symphony Gala at the Merrill to celebrate 20th Anniversary.  Tickets $100 Larry Hetzler has tickets. John Kuhl- Enjoying having daughter, Gwen, home from Boston College.
 
Club News: Thank you to everyone who provided comments at least weeks meeting.  Feedback and suggestions have been shared with the board. Reminder next week no meeting, return January 3rd. Prior to this club meeting the board met with District Governor and the board approved a RAGAS grant for our club to support anti Human Trafficking education and messages. Naomi and Carolyn will lead these efforts for our club. Reminder of the need for bell ringers.  Happy to announce today we met our goal for Warm Coats and we will get those ordered and into the hands of kids in need as the weather will get cold.

Alka was joined by her daughter Priya. Alka was originally from India, came to states for Grad and post Grad work and then stayed.  Alka’s journey with Rotary began in 2008.
When you join local Rotary club you join the world of Rotary.
District 6000 6 areas of focus with the newest added being support for the environment. 
District 6000 Goals:
Each one Bring One and Retain all- strengthen our clubs, our district, our communities and our organization.
Do More, Grow More- initiatives of focus for our local club.  Grow membership and complete more service and service opportunities in our community.
Engage- Service and Leadership- Have relevant programs that engage our membership.
Adapt and Flexibility- Adjust to new norm- we are one of few clubs embracing the hybrid option and accommodating the new normal.
Initiatives:
Continue to irradicate Polio- down to 4 wild cases in 2 countries. Let’s NOT stop now, we are so close to irradiating Polio. 
Promote Literacy in 0-5 year old- Grant opportunities coming at the beginning of the year for literacy projects.
Stop Human Trafficking-
The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
