Program:  Our program was Jayne Armstrong, the Iowa District Director for the US Small Business Administration (SMA).  The purpose of SMA is to help small businesses start, grow, expand and recover.  Apple, Nike, Under Armour, and many other companies all started out with help from the SMA.  Jayne's District covers the entire state of Iowa.  The primary focus's are capital, counseling and contracting.  The SBA Iowa District Office is trying to raise visibility and increase awareness of the SBA throughout Iowa.  Some areas of focus are women and minority owned businesses and rural businesses.  SBA also has a disaster program that helps businesses get low interest, long term loans.  The SMA services are not only at the start up of a business - but throughout the cycles of business.  Thank you Jayne Armstrong for your presentation.

Our next meeting will be Monday, April 1st at the Rendezvous.
