Guests: Jeff Wenger of Country Financial was the guest of Jessica Wittman and Erika Cox. Roger Lande was the guest of Sarah Lande.
Happy News: Sarah Lande was happy that Joe Wieskamp did great during the Iowa game. Sarah also shared some quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr. Larry Hetzler reminded us of Eagles and Ivories this week. Holly Thomas-Koehler was happy that the "Get your rear into gear" event for Colon Cancer was successful. Diana Gradert encouraged us to attend the Eagles and Ivories event - many musical acts playing for the ragtime festival. Sarah Lande also let us know of the Eagle Show at the Red Brick building Saturday at 9:00.
Club Business: Shane Orr let us know that Risk Gosney is selling Super Bowl squares to raise funds to support our community projects.
Program: Latin Thunder - Independent Wrestler from Muscatine.
Latin Thunder was our speaker today and shared with us his passion for wrestling and his journey to the wrestling circuit. Latin Thunder grew up in Muscatine. As a child he loved wrestling and would watch in on TV. In 5th grade he went to an AWA performance, afterwards he decided that the wanted to be a professional wrestler. He attended a wrestling school in Dallas, TX and later joined the Midwest Circuit. After being the bad guy for many years he decided to become the good guy. That is when he became known as Latin Thunder - he is a masked wrestler - Lucha Libre. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
