Program for July 23, 2018:  Nancy Carlisle from Unity Point.   Diabetes Education and Prevention.
Invocation:  Mike Ruby
 
Visitors:  Nisha Ladlee - Family Resource. 
 
Rotary Moment:  Keith Porter told us what Rotary has meant to him on a personal and professional level.  Encouraged members to get involved.  Volunteer to be on a committee, you will get a lot out of it. 
 
Happy NewsDon Timmerman was happy his church got 2nd place for its float in the county parade.  Diana Gradert reminded us to the Arts Council fundraiser on August 5th.  Megan Francis let us know that on Thursday Sunny Brook is having a community lunch and after a presentation on parrot rescue.  And Friday they are having a carnival.  Erika Cox is back from a wonderful vacation with her family.  And her 14 year old daughter has started drivers ed.  Judi Holdorf is also back from vacation and happy that their house sold while they were gone.  Paul Fitzpatrick is happy that a friend of his opened an art gallery in Davenport, Paul helped with the music. 
 
Program:  Sara Sothmann from Occupational Medicine at Trinity.  Occupational Medicine deals with work related diseases and injuries.  They partner with local employers in order to meet their needs and needs of the employees.  Dr. Rhea Allen is the primary doctor in Occupational Medicine at Trinity Muscatine.  Services include:  work related injuries, substance abuse, immunizations, physicals, disability evaluation, safety programs and more.  Onsite services:  vaccinations, random drug testing, physicals and more.  They provide case management for employers to move through the process of claims.  They are located across from the hospital on Cedar Street.  Overall, their services help reduce employer expenses.  Thank you Sara.
