Program: Naomi DeWinter, Diane Stanley and Steve Hall provided an informative program on the EICC Culinary Lab at the Button Factory.  Diane teaches hospitality courses and Steve is the Chef.  Steve has a culinary background working for a time in Chicago and then the Casino Boats. He opened Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in 2000 and was there through 2016.   Enrolled students are from Muscatine High School and MCC. The programs are designed to provide hands on experience as either an apprenticeship or internship. The students are getting lots of practice at various local restaurants and events.  Experience is being gained at The Merrill and at Geneva Country Club to site a couple sites.  The students shared their talents at the recent Legends Fundraiser honoring Helen and Stan Howe.  The Howe Foundation gave 6 new culinary scholarships at the event.  Steve is planning on a Summer Camp for 14-16 year olds this summer on June 13 and 14.
