Program for August 28, 2017:  Road Trip... New Musser Public Library...Downtown on 2nd Street..with Pam Collins
Invocation: John Kuhl
Happy News: Dennis Peterson, President of the North Scott Club and his daughter Dawn Martens were present to bring the Buffalo Bike!! Malcolm Oz provided the invocation as a guest!! Rachel Ostergren came with her Dad, Alan!!  Teresa Stenstrup attended as a guest from the Muscatine Art Center and Sarah Ritter attended from the Muscatine Journal. Erika noted that Keith Porter has a 10 year Rotary Anniversary this week!! We are also very close to reaching 70 bikes...1 per member...we are at 62!!  Mike Ruby indicated that 33 clubs in the district have participated and he will be writing a check for 33 bikes as a match!!  Karen Diercks was proud of her granddaughter being a semifinalist at the State Fair Talent Competition!
 
Program:Betty Collins provided an informative program about the Summer Reading Program at the Library. The theme was Build a Better World. The activities were intended to encourage thoughts, actions and words. The birth -elementary programs were intended to engage parents with their young children through the various activities through demonstration and role modeling. Playing together included play dough, glue sticks and tissue paper(Betty shared lots of these fun pictures with the children's thoughts). Studio Monday was popular, as was electricity with clay, beans and rice counting and sifting activities etc.
