Happy News: Guests today were Sydney, Lindsey and Jason Cox.  Keith Porter was happy for Mike Ruby and the gavel passing for the District Governor Event. Melanie Alexander was pleased with the attendance at the Ice Cream Social yesterday. Greg Jenkins encouraging 3 more persons to help with the 4th of July parade. Sal LoBianco is proud that a colleague from MPW is the new Rotary President. Naomi De Winter noted that the Fireworks proceeds from HyVee are being donated to MCSA. Megan Francis is happy to spend the 4th of July with her California Family in Minnesota and Judi Holdorf is happy to be celebrating her 46th wedding anniversary today and is donating $100 to the Scholarship Fund in honor of  being President!!
  
Club Business: Mike Ruby's District Governor's celebration was a wonderful event and Mike sent thank you's to all who helped. Judi noted the Rotary anniversaries for May and June with Manasi Nadkarni being a member for 4 years, Bill Parks and Chuck Moody each for 23 years, Charla Schafer for 1 year, Nathan Mather for 6 years, Marv Kreiger for 67 years, and in his honor we ate Rotary Cake!!  Naomi De Winter received the Club Service Award for this year.
 
Program: Judi Holdorf concluded her remarks with the election of Directors on a motion by Paul Fitzpatrick and a second by Diana Gradert motion carried with all ayes. Previous to the election Judi reflected on the past year noting 90 hours of volunteer service, Share a Smile Rose Project, $4500 to the Salvation Army, $3400 to the Disaster Response Tornado Pasta Bar, 7 new members, 5 Senior Scholarships, $1600 to Polio Plus and $11,433.00 to the Rotary Foundation!! Judi and Erika exchanged remarks about one another and the club as Erika thanked Judi for her year of service as Club President!! Erika then shared her goals as we begin to think about our 100 year Anniversary in 2020. Erika hopes with are thriving, making a positive impact and are of course the best club in the District!!  Rotary International Goals for the year are tracking volunteer hours, planting a tree for each member, gender balance in membership and lowering the age of the membership.  Mike Ruby as District Governor hopes to increase membership by 3 %, improve Rotary's Public Image, contribute to the Rotary Foundation and support the Bike Foundation!!  Erika hopes to support the Bike Foundation, work on a local project and grant, work on an international project and grant and begin to prepare our 100 Anniversary in 2020.  What will our club look like then!!
