Program: Dr. Michael Hajdu presented an informative program on Heart Care! Heart Failure not heart attacks is a coming trend.  Heart failure is not pumping enough blood out of your heart! Signs are shortness of breath, peripheral edema and increased chance of premature death.  Americans need to take better care of ourselves. If you are 65 now your chances of living until 85 are good.  Two biggest disease threats are Heart Disease and Cancer!! Heart failure can be treated behaviorally, medically, with devices, transplants and societal. Walking and exercise, salt control, not being overweight helps reduce the impact of heart failure. There are medications, implants and transplants that enhance life.  Dr, Hajdu is practicing in Muscatine through Mercy Hospital should one be interested in contacting him!!
