Happy News: Mike Ruby is coming round the bend on visiting Rotary Clubs as AG!! Craig Utley is happy that Elizabeth got accepted at Wisconsin! Naomi DeWinter is happy to share a tornado relief pasta dinner on May 1 from 4-8 sponsored by MCC and hopefully with the help of Rotary at the Button Factory Woodfire Grill. Harvey Allbee is proud of his grandson's winning play at the Cornell baseball game yesterday!! Caitlyn Ryan is going to Hayden's Hero Benefit. Bobbie Holliday is done with her spring yardwork!!
 
Program: Jerry Fleagle with the Herbert Hoover Foundation shared an informative program about the programs and work of the support organization. The organization's mission is to promote the life, ideas and values of Herbert Hoover, the only United States President from Iowa!! The Uncommon Student Award is awarded annually to a deserving student.  Muscatine has had several: Tyler Finchum Ryan Broderson, Ashley Brown, Caleb Hoffman, Shalini Reicher,Joshua Paetz and Kyle Hoffman.  The foundation also sponsors the "Hoover Institute for Civic Engagment". Another award program is the "Uncommon Public Service Award". Recently a group was led by the Foundation to visit Richard Nixon s Presidential Library, as well as, Ronald Reagan's. The trip included Monterey and several wineries, as well. Next year the group will visit Belgium and the North of France.  They will also host a celebration banquet and are responsible for several visiting exhibits one beginning on May13 and running through October which will include artifacts about every U.S. President!!
