Rotary News: Guests today were Lori Ash, mother of Isabella Alvarado and Kevin Jenison from the Muscatine Journal and potential member.
Happy News: Keith Porter happy about the Cubs and the Packers!! Melanie Alexander was pleased with the House Party at the Latta's showcasing their pottery. Melanie invited all to the Project Update on the 27th of October at the Art Center. Naomi DeWinter proud of the Culinary Arts Program and their partnership with the Merrill Hotel. Don Timmerman is happy that Fran Riley will showcase the Sweetland United Methodist Church's 150th Anniversary on Channel 6 and oh yes Don is happy to be 71! Tony Joseph enjoys meeting other Rotarians who share their world with him even in India. Diana Gradert is going to be a great grandma and she is pleased the "Stroke Program" was well received. Caitlyn Ryan is happy Mike Hagerty will be BeeKeeping at Sunnybrook and also that $4-5,000 was raised at the Alzheimer's Walk!!
 
Club Business: Judi met up with some YPN folks and discussed a joint meeting with Rotary and them.  We will be hearing more about this in the future.  Board Meeting next Monday!!
Program:  Isabella Alvarado shared her RYLA Camper experience with the club.  It was a great experience that built new friendships across the state of Iowa for youth, and Rotarians alike.  Highlights were team building activities, back rubs after meals, lots of hugging, everyone counted and could be heard!!  The students were engaged and not lectured too!!
