Club News and Happy News: Guests were: Dave Tometich, Sam Paul, Tiffany Tomlin, Jensen Watson, Sarah McKillip, and Alicia Schultz.  Potential new members: Kim Warren and Caitlyn Ryan were also present.  Paul Fitzpatrick shared his excitement from the Rotary District Meeting.  Immunizing 500 babies in one day was memorable to him.  He also told us that Bobbi Holliday won the Ping Pong Ball toss for Ponzeti for $1000. Holly Thomas Koehler is proud of her son who competed in the State Geography Bee. Naomi DeWinter is happy that the Sister City Organization in Muscatine is celebrating 30 years of activities this year. Larry Hetzler handed out Muscatine County Arts Council Poetry Contest Information. Chris Steinbach is proud of MCSA who will celebrate 25 years of being this year and yes kudos to Chris for being the Chamber's Ambassador of the Year!
 
Program: Dave Tometich and Sam Paul along with Mike Hagerty introduced the Muscatine Community School District FFA and Agricultural Student Leaders.  The FFA Creed was presented oratorically. An extemporaneous speech was given on the topic of Urban Farming is it economics or hobby?  MHS has 400 students enrolled in Agriculture courses, with courses offered in 6th and 7th grade as electives.  The high school has had 30 national level teams with 19 placing in the top ten!!    The excitement of these hands on courses is that the students run them..this includes the greenhouse, and the activities of the Ag Learning Center!!
