Program for July 6, 2015: Monsanto ...GMO Update with Shawn Schrader

Invocation: Diana Broderson

Rotary News: Guests today include Dennis Tripp, Richard Sessler Arianna Dollinger and Christina Bozarth. Sign up sheets for the 4th of July Parade Staging and new Rotary Committees are on the tables. We will meet at Contrary Brewery on Mississippi Drive on July 13, 2015. Next week we will make the President transition from Tony Joseph to Mary Odell. Bobbie Holliday was formally inducted into Rotary today and Paul Fitzpatrick was welcomed by transfer.

Happy News: Janet Morrow is happy that the 4th of July is coming with 75 parade entrants already and she is also proud of her daughter who is returning from her first mission trip. David Stanley is happy that he has been married to Jeannie for 67 years. Diana Broderson is glad the Y is expanding.

Program: Marilyn Smith introduced Brian Dollinger, Muscatine Symphony Orchestra Conductor as our program. Brian is in his 12th season in Muscatine. He is proud of the diversity of performances including mime, Steve Torme, 5 musicals and encourages all to come enjoy the symphony of today. A lot like church...more user friendly and informal. He noted the information on the tables sharing the 2015-2016 performance schedule and the fundraisers including the Wine Walk and the Fall Auction. He is appreciative of the corporate, business and individual support of the symphony. Brian encouraged us to join the the 4th of July Celebration Concert at the Red Brick Building on the riverfront. So bring your friends and grandkids and share in a great musical experience. The Muscatine Symphony Orchestra!!
