Happy News: Harvey Allbee is very happy that his carcinoma experience has concluded positively. He also turned 81 on May 25th!!  Rick Gosney celebrated his son's graduation from Western Illinois University and also a new job!!  His daughter Cali also a graduate from Rockridge High School.  MIke Ruby has just returned from a wonderful Italy trip and is happy that his daughter Ellen has a great new job and yes,Mike is readying for his turn as District 6000's Governor!! Chris Steinbach reminded us that tonight is MCSA's fundraising night at Boonie's!!David Stanley is happy that Iowa Baseball has a bright future and he is watching the Muscatine politician with pleasure as he helps his father in law, the new Prime Minister of Guyana!! (Our Rotary President, Tony Joseph!!) Marilyn Smith is back from a 2 month hiatus in Arizona, she had a great time with the grandchildren, enjoying their graduation parties and friends! Tony Joseph is happy to have had the Chinese Consulate General at 33 Club and to also have the experience of helping his father in law become the Prime Minister and Vice President of Guyana!
 
Tony asked for volunteers to help with the 4th of July Parade again this year.  A fun experience of helping line up the parade entrants for the parade block by block!!
 
Program: Pam Collins introduced LillyWellenstein, Parks and Recreation Program Supervisor and the Golf Pro, Matt Romer. Matt formerly was at Galena, Illinois and also has experience in the golf world at Myrtle Beach!!  The Summer Parks and Recreation booklet is on the tables.  Summer is the busiest time of year for these folks.  The Soccer Complex brings hundreds of visitors, Shelter rentals rise with over 450 a year, 300 participants in the summer swim lesson program, Disk Golf at Fuller Park, T Ball on Monday through Thursday evenings and many many other fun activities.  Sunday, June 7th will bring a Family Bike Ride through Musser Park. 
Matt Romer, provided an update on his professional background and encouraged those interested to come take golf lessons.  Matt is a graduate of the Steve Dresser Golf School.  The Foot Golf experience is now available with the 18 holes on the front 9 played with a Soccer Ball.  Kids under $17 play for $5 while over 17 play for $10. Now's the time to get outside and enjoy the summer sun and activities.
