Bob Jensen- Temp Associates received notice that they were recognized as one of Forbes 2026 America's Best Temp Staffing Firms. They are number 13 of over 200 staffing firms. This is an exciting recognition to accompany Temp’s 40th anniversary in October. Mike Wedell- Mike is wearing a hat in support of the Carolina Hurricanes. As part of the Canes organization, Mike's daughter will receive a championship ring. Marc Hines- Reminder that the Hwy 22 road clean-up service project is this Friday. Meet at Crossroads at 8 am. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Rich Dwyer- Last Thursday, KENT held a wonderful ribbon-cutting for the World's Best Cat Litter building. Megan Francis- The World Cup kicked off last week, and the US opened the tournament with a convincing 4-1 win. Megan’s son is participating in a Brazilian United soccer camp at the soccer complex. Their family is hosting the two coaches from Brazil. It is a fun experience. Tuesday night is The Y’s annual Lip Sync fundraiser at The Brew. The kids' competition starts at 5:30, and the adults start at 7 pm. Come out and have fun and support Y programs.

Mental Health First Aid
Behavioral health was identified as a significant community need during Muscatine's most recent Community Health Needs Assessment. One strategy identified to support early intervention was expanding access to Mental Health First Aid training. Through grant and philanthropic funding, Jen Craft became a certified instructor, allowing the training to be offered locally at no cost to participants. The full-day training equips community members with the skills to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges and substance use concerns.
Since launching the program, 139 individuals have completed Mental Health First Aid training, including 10 group trainings with local businesses and organizations, with three additional sessions scheduled. The goal is to reach individuals who may not otherwise receive mental health education and provide practical tools that can be used in everyday interactions.
